River City Science Academy reaches another major milestone in academic achievement as five of its six campuses earn the prestigious Florida School of Excellence designation.
River City Science Academy (RCSA) is proud to celebrate an extraordinary achievement across its network of schools. Following the announcement that all six RCSA campuses earned an “A” school grade, two additional campuses have received the Florida Department of Education’s (FLDOE) School of Excellence designation, bringing the network’s total to five Schools of Excellence!
This recognition represents more than academic success in a single school year. It reflects years of dedication, exceptional instruction, strong leadership, and a shared commitment to helping students reach their fullest potential.
Celebrating Our Five Schools of Excellence
Congratulations to the five RCSA campuses recognized as Florida Schools of Excellence:
- RCSA Middle-High
- RCSA Elementary
- RCSA Mandarin
- RCSA Intracoastal
- RCSA Southeast
The Florida School of Excellence designation recognizes schools that demonstrate sustained, exceptional academic performance. To qualify, schools must rank at or above the 80th percentile among schools with similar grade configurations in at least two of the previous three school years.
Unlike an individual annual school grade, this distinction recognizes consistency over time, making it a meaningful measure of continued academic achievement.
A Network-Wide Commitment to Excellence
With six A-rated campuses and five Schools of Excellence, RCSA continues to demonstrate that academic achievement is not limited to a single classroom, campus, or graduating class.
It is part of a culture shared throughout the entire school network.
From innovative STEM education and rigorous academics to dedicated educators and supportive learning environments, RCSA’s commitment to excellence is reflected in the everyday experiences of its students.
These accomplishments are the result of intentional collaboration, high expectations, and a belief that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed.
Celebrating the People Behind the Achievement
Behind every school grade and academic recognition are the people who make student success possible.
To our teachers, administrators, school leaders, and support staff across all six campuses: thank you!
Your countless hours of planning, teaching, mentoring, collaborating, and supporting students have made these achievements possible. Your passion for education, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to our students continue to shape the future of RCSA.
We also extend our gratitude to our students and families. Your hard work, encouragement, trust, and partnership are essential to the success of our schools.
Nearly Two Decades of Inspiring Excellence
As River City Science Academy approaches two decades of serving the Jacksonville community, milestones like these remind us of how far we have come and the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.
What began as a vision to provide students with an exceptional, STEM-focused education has grown into a network of schools united by a commitment to academic achievement, innovation, and opportunity.
Six A-rated schools. Five Florida Schools of Excellence. One extraordinary RCSA family.
Congratulations to our entire RCSA community on this remarkable accomplishment. Together, we will continue to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of leaders, innovators, and lifelong learners.
Excellence isn’t just an achievement at RCSA. It’s our commitment.
