At River City Science Academy, kindness and community are part of who we are – and teachers like Mr. Payne at RCSA Middle-High remind us of that every single day.

Through snack sales in his classroom during student transitions, Mr. Payne has turned Little Debbie cakes and snacks into something much bigger: giving back to our community. This school year alone, his efforts have helped raise approximately $5,000 for Feeding Northeast Florida, supporting families facing food insecurity across Northeast Florida.

What started as a simple idea became a powerful lesson in compassion, generosity, and servant leadership for our students.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate educators who go above and beyond to make a difference both inside and outside the classroom. Thank you, Mr. Payne, for showing our Rockets the true meaning of community impact. 💙
