In the middle of the night of Feb. 6, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake occurred close to Gaziantep in southern Turkey, along the northern border of Syria. Relief operations are still underway and there are many who are aiding in the cause. There is so much devastation in that area and RCSA wanted to use their resources to help those who are suffering.
Students had the opportunity to participate in a dress down day to raise funds for earthquake relief in the Turkey-Syria area. Students could donate $5 and were not required to wear their RCSA uniform. After all the donations had been counted, the students had raised over $2,000 towards earthquake victims. We are very proud of what our students are doing to benefit the world around them.
The schools combined efforts and raised over $10,000 to provide assistance to the victims whose lives were devastated. The more we give away, the more is given to us.
