πŸ’™ Service Learning in Action: Reflecting on Our Youth Crisis Center Donation Drive πŸ’›

Our students recently wrapped up a powerful service-learning project supporting the Youth Crisis Center, and their reflections say everything about the impact of giving back.

Through organizing donation boxes, creating posters, collecting items, and spreading awareness, our Rockets discovered what service truly means β€” compassion, empathy, accountability, and the belief that even small acts can change lives.

Here’s what some of them had to say:

✨ β€œIt made me feel happy and grateful to have the opportunity to help others.”
✨ β€œI liked helping because people go through a lot, and everyone deserves support.”
✨ β€œKnowing we could impact more people made me feel proud.”
✨ β€œHelping others without expecting anything back felt good.”
✨ β€œI contributed because it’s nice to help people when they’re in need… even if you don’t get recognized.”

These reflections show the heart of service learning β€” students connecting real community needs with meaningful action, and discovering the power they already have to lead, uplift, and make a difference.

We are incredibly proud of their hard work and the compassion they showed throughout this project. πŸš€πŸ’™
