Our Rocket staff, admin, and faculty convened for our annual KickStart celebration event, held this year at the UNF conference center. It was an exciting half day of connections, recognitions, inspiration, and fun.

Along with Dr. T (channeling his inner Freddie), Mr. Sel running the show, and Ms. Laura Palarine as our Emcee, we were joined by Congressman John Rutherford, Sheriff T.K. Waters, Councilman Raul Arias,

Councilman Terrance Freeman, Councilwoman Ju’Coby Pittman and Councilman Chris Miller and DCPS Board Member Cindy Pearson.

Our own Duval County School Board Chair, The Honorable Mr. Darryl Willie, brought down the house with his energy and had the crowd singing.

We were also treated to video messages and letters of encouragement from Washington and Tallahassee from Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Aaron Bean, Senator Rick Scott, and Senator Tracie Davis who couldn’t be with us in person.

RCSA is proud of our integral partnerships with our Jacksonville and Florida elected officials and are so grateful for their long-time and constant support of STEM and charter school education initiatives that have built such a strong foundation for our schools.

Our faculty, staff, and administrators are working hard to get ready for an exciting school year ahead and we look forward to welcoming back your students.
