RIVER CITY SCIENCE ACADEMY CELEBRATES ART, INNOVATION, AND EDUCATION IN JACKSONVILLE

River City Science Academy (RCSA) will host a grand mural dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 2, 2023, at 9:30 am at their Middle-High campus located at 7565 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32216. This event will pay tribute to the exceptional artist behind the masterpiece and dedicate the mural to the entire Jacksonville community as a remarkable work of public art that celebrates STEM education, inventions, innovations, space exploration, and patriotism.

The mural, stretching an impressive 250 feet, has breathed new life into our school campus, thanks to the extraordinary talent of Ms. Mary Joan Hinson from Brush and Oil. With the power lift and spray paint as her tools, Ms. Hinson has masterfully brought our campus to vibrant life, turning it into a visual testament to the power of art in education.

In collaboration with Mr. Sel Buyuksarac, the Public Affairs and Engagement Director for the RCSA family of schools, the concept of this mural was meticulously designed. It is a harmonious blend of creativity and educational values that aims to inspire students, teachers, and the city of Jacksonville.

On the finished work, Mr. Sel shares, “It is our hope that this mural will serve as a love letter to our entire community, in celebration of knowledge and art, that will inspire for generations to come.”
