Ty Lipscomb named National Merit Scholarship Program Semi-Finalist.
Over 1.3 million juniors in about 21,000 high schools entered the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors.





U.S. News compared local schools against 618 counterparts around the state and 17,680 nationally to develop its rankings. They weighed together five different yardsticks, from a four-year graduation rate to a “college readiness” score that measures the proportion of seniors scoring well enough on either an Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate exam.
Eight Northeast Florida schools placed among the state’s top 50 public high schools in rankings from U.S. News & World Report released last week.
The top scorers included RCSA Middle-High as the only Duval charter school on the list, five Duval County magnet schools, and two traditional schools in St. Johns County.
RCSA Middle-High has been awarded three grants from national partners Target, Harbor Freight, and Aldi:


Alumni from the classes of 2015-2023 came back to RCSA Middle-High to share their accomplishments, reminisce and network.

The RCSA Middle-High Garden is in bloom. Students and Teachers enjoy harvesting from the garden and taking in the beauty of the hard work that is put into it.









The transformative Middle-High mural by Mary Joan Hinson with Brush and Oil is set to be completed by mid-October.

Nine River City Science Academy Middle-High students have been selected to join the National Education Equity Lab Honor Society for being among the top 20% of scholars in their college-in-high school course, and have earned the distinction of “Ed Equity Lab National Honor Society Member”. This is a significant recognition for our high school and reflects extraordinary teacher leadership and excellence.
RCSA Mandarin

Congratulations to Mrs. Arnold on being named RCSA Mandarin’s Teacher of the Year for the 2023-2024 academic year!

RCSA Mandarin offers a College Mentorship Program (CMP) is a mentoring program designed to help the students with their academics, extracurricular activities, character education and social skills.
RCSA Mandarin wore green on the final day of Start with Hello Week to show solidarity, unity, and support of the Sandy Hook Promise.


RCSA Mandarin fourth grade students celebrated and learned about Constitution Day in school September 18 – 22. They watched a video, colored pictures, wrote acrostic poems, and played Constitution Bingo as they learned about this important document, including the Bill of Rights and other amendments that support the constitution.


The Honor Rows program presented by the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation invited our amazing Mandarin students and their parents to the first home game of the season. This reward was achieved by students who showcased their dedication through academic teams, community service, and STEM presentations! For some of these students, it was their very first football game experience.
A number of picnic benches were donated to the school!

Congratulations to the RCSA Intracoastal 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year, Ms. Rebecca Aliano!!! Ms. Aliano is our 7th grade ELA/Reading teacher. She is a dedicated teacher-leader and demonstrates her passion for teaching children every day.


RCSA Intracoastal students participated in a Dance-a-thon (K-4) and Color Run (5-8) Boosterthon and made their school goal of $25,000+. The school-wide incentive is dress down, popsicles on the field and a pie in the face of the brave Principal Jackson!

New and returning 3-5 and 6-8 Rockets had an assembly with our Dean of Students, Mrs. Reddish and Mr. Jones! They learned all about our Ron Clark House system and how Rockets are safe, responsible and respectful! Students had a chance to spin the wheel and see what house they are apart of! It was such a fun morning and afternoon with all our 3-8 Rockets and the love and support they showed when their friends got into the same house as them!
RCSA Innovation



JFRD visited RCSA Innovation K-2 students and educated them about the workings of a firetruck, as well as provided insights into the experiences of firefighters!

Innovation students participated in Start with Hello Week which involves in teaching students to take small but powerful actions to promote inclusion and to support students who are showing signs of loneliness or social isolation.

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, RCSA Innovation and the Jacksonville Jaguars collaborated to provide their Hispanic employees with tickets to the Jaguars vs Texans game!





Happy Birthday to Principal Erdogan!
RCSA Innovation partied during morning carline, had a yard sign and cake, decorated his door with MORE cake and 50 balloons for the 50 reasons why we love him (from his staff and HR).

RCSA Innovation’s Home Visit Program is an optional way for our staff to support students and families through the educational process. We want to ensure our students know that they have the support of both their school and their family in their academic pursuits.
