In collaboration with Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (a partner organization of KHA) Community Engagement section, Safe Kids Northeast Florida recently honored students from five local elementary schools with the prestigious Safe Kids Award! JSO Officer McDaniel serves on the Safe Kids board & coined the “Safe Kids Save Lives” award 3 years ago. These students were selected by their teachers and school administration for their remarkable commitment to practicing safe lifestyle behaviors. The children were presented with prizes generously donated by local organizations, namely Kids Hope Alliance, Sk8city Jacksonville, and Eleven 22. The awards ceremony was led by Safe Kids Northeast Florida, in conjunction with Wolfson Children’s Hospital, JSO Community Engagement, school administration, and City Councilmember Terrance Freeman. Congratulations to all these kids!
