Our third graders over at RCSA Mandarin were so excited to welcome several baby chicks into the world last week! It takes chicken eggs 21 days on average to hatch, and that day finally came on April 7th!
One of the most interesting parts of science is learning about the life cycle. By helping bring these baby chicks into the world, our third graders got to learn about the life cycle in a very hands-on way. They had a lot of responsibilities during the three-week period that the baby chicks sat in the incubator, such as making sure that both the temperature and humidity were perfect for the chicks to remain comfortable and healthy. Mr. Kurt was a big help during this process, and it wouldn’t have been possible without him!
