Innovation’s Middle School Student Council journeyed to Disney Tuesday for the National Honor Society North Florida State Summit.
They were immersed with leaders from schools across the state of Florida all linked by the topic of Global Learning.
First, students broke out into smaller sessions on effective and persuasive communication, creativity and innovation, social justice and engagement and digital and social media. Here they heard from experts in the above fields on how to carry these cultures into their schools as leaders.
Next students moved into workshops on statewide issues like global citizenship, improving learning environments and wellness and mindfulness.
The day ended with the students creating solutions to problems currently facing schools like bullying, safety and mental health.
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to learn from leaders in education and entrepreneurship and collaborate with students from across North Florida. Students left prepared and inspired to tackle these statewide issues right here at RCSA. We are excited to see how these leaders put their plans into action.
