A line of excited children and patient grandparents stretched from the cafeteria all the way to the street for RCSA Elementary’s parent breakfast.

But for one family, the breakfast was even more special. All five generations of women were present.

First graders Lexine and Maxine Doit were joined by their mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Cometa Velasco recently celebrated her 107th birthday, making her exactly 100 years older than her seven-year old students. She believes in the importance of education and plans to attend as many school events as possible.
